#Telstra scam emails! How to sport the fakes that are currently going around

"The fake emails can be distinguished by the absence of a “$” sign to describe the amount of money they have supposedly been paid twice and is available for refund.

The refund amount is shown in a bracket.

Another fake email also incorrectly addresses recipients with, “Hi, dear customer.”

Falk said these phishing emails often include links and attachments that have malicious software or they are designed to trick customers into disclosing their personal details."
